Everyone in America wants to enjoy a good life. The American Dream is all about it: working hard so that, one day, you can enjoy a good life—filled with a nice home, a cushy bank account, a comfortable standard of living, a loving family, and caring friends. But what about living a wise life? Wisdom is not necessarily about accumulating more knowledge in school or accumulating more stuff in life. Wisdom is about the ability to apply the knowledge you do have in sensible ways in real-life situations. In this series, we’ll focus on the wisdom found in the book of Proverbs, written by the greatest king in ancient Israel, and we’ll see how wisdom is a rare commodity in our society today. Most importantly, as we are encouraged to live a wise life in our world today, we’ll see how a wise life begins and ends with the Lord:
